One of Those Fishin' Tales!

Sorry its been so long since Ive posted something..interesting! Ive been working hard to come up with something , but then something happened the other day, and I didnt even have to come up with it! There's such a thing as a fish farmer, so this story applies. I have to gold fish. The other day, one of them was floating on his side on the top of the tank. I thought he was dead. But no, he was still breathing. I was kind of concerned so I looked up "when a fish is dying." One article said that often fish appearing dead really have what is called a swim bladder infection. I read on and it said that this usually results in death but there is a remedy. And that is to feed the ailing fish a green pea. Well, I thought, yeah right. Another day went by and guess what, not only was my fish still looking dead, he was laying at the bottom of the tank. Barely breathing. So that evening, since I didnt want to lose a pet, I decided to try the green pea. I chopped it up and dropped it in the tank close to the fish. Surprisingly, he moved over to the green pea and ate it! And more surprising than him getting up to actually eat the green pea, he got better the next day. He was breathing, bobbing, swimming and eating normal! What a miracle. So a note to you if you think your fish has a swim bladder infection, clean the tank, feed it a pea and see what happens. If your fish is prone to this, like mine must be, feed the fish crushed pellets or flakes instead of whole pellets. Stay posted for more great stories about farming etc.!
